Description

Surrey Community Action runs a range of practical, people‑focused projects that support communities right across the county, and we welcome referrals to all of them. Warmth Matters Our team visits Warm Welcome hubs across Surrey, offering advice, crisis funding, fuel vouchers and essential equipment to people experiencing fuel poverty. They provide a friendly face and real support to families and older residents who are struggling to keep warm at home. Rural Housing Enablement We work to secure affordable homes in Surrey’s villages so local people can stay close to their families, support networks and the communities they grew up in. Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Support Our Advice and Guidance service supports the Gypsy, Roma and Traveller community across Surrey, helping people access services, understand their rights and find the help they need. Community Buildings Support We help community halls and buildings operate safely and effectively, offering advice, signposting, training and networking opportunities. Halls can also join our low‑cost membership scheme for ongoing support. Good Neighbour Schemes We coordinate 77 Good Neighbour schemes across Surrey, connecting volunteer drivers with older and disabled residents who need help getting to medical appointments, visiting loved ones or simply getting out for everyday errands. You can find more information about all our projects on our website. If you or someone you know needs support, we’d be very happy to help.

Description

The Meeting Room supports some of the most vulnerable people in the Mole Valley and Epsom & Ewell areas of Surrey. We help and assist those with a variety of issues including poverty, addiction, poor mental & physical health, and homelessness. We focus on meeting their immediate needs and then supporting and working closely with them to transition into a more stable and sustainable lifestyle. Many of our clients have no family or friends to assist them in times of crisis or difficulty. Typically, we work with people in our community who are struggling financially, deal with housing related issues, or who are unable to access addiction recovery services or medical support. By working with and supporting our clients, we seek to prevent recurring situations related to severe debt problems, homelessness, addiction relapses or health issues. Our purpose is simple: to ensure no one in our community is left without support and to help people move from crisis to stability and hope.
