Description

Home-Start Epsom, Ewell and Banstead is a local charity which provides emotional and practical support to parents with at least one child under 11 years old. Our aim is to provide early support to families who are facing the challenges and stresses of family life, including a wide range of difficulties such as isolation, low self-esteem, and physical and mental health issues. We work alongside parents in their homes and the community to help raise their self-confidence and their ability to cope in an increasingly pressured society. Our emphasis is on parents helping parents. Our services include weekly volunteer home visiting, perinatal mental health and traumatic birth support, 1:1 parenting support sessions, parenting workshops and courses, and social groups and outings for supported families. We support families living in the borough of Epsom & Ewell, and Banstead wards north of the M25 and Mole Valley North (Ashtead, Leatherhead, Fetcham & Bookham) We operate a triage process for all referrals, to ensure the referral is appropriate and that we have capacity to deliver the appropriate support. To refer a family for home visiting or SEN support, please contact Hayley Ronald (Family Support Lead) on 07804519622 (Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 9am-5pm) or hayley.ronald@hseeb.org.uk. To refer a family for Perinatal support, please contact Claire Stevens (Perinatal Service Lead) at 07494 292924 or claire.stevens@hseeb.org.uk. If the referral is agreed, they will provide a referral link. Parents can also self-refer for most services at https://hseeb.org/self-referral/

Description

The Meeting Room supports some of the most vulnerable people in the Mole Valley and Epsom & Ewell areas of Surrey. We help and assist those with a variety of issues including poverty, addiction, poor mental & physical health, and homelessness. We focus on meeting their immediate needs and then supporting and working closely with them to transition into a more stable and sustainable lifestyle. Many of our clients have no family or friends to assist them in times of crisis or difficulty. Typically, we work with people in our community who are struggling financially, deal with housing related issues, or who are unable to access addiction recovery services or medical support. By working with and supporting our clients, we seek to prevent recurring situations related to severe debt problems, homelessness, addiction relapses or health issues. Our purpose is simple: to ensure no one in our community is left without support and to help people move from crisis to stability and hope.
